This policy explains what information Lighter Day Living may collect through this website and how that information is used.

Information you choose to submit
The site currently includes forms that may collect an email address, an optional first name, reader-feedback responses, contact or privacy-request details, and an optional name. These fields are used only for the purpose described beside the form, such as recording newsletter interest, responding to a request or helping decide which topics to cover next.
Please do not submit sensitive personal, financial or medical information through these forms.
How form submissions are handled
Lighter Day Living is configured to use Netlify Forms. When a form is submitted successfully, the information is processed and stored through Netlify's form service so the site owner can review the submission. Form data may be deleted when it is no longer needed.
Traffic attribution, analytics, advertising and cookies
The site includes a first-party traffic-attribution script that reads campaign parameters in the page URL and, when available, the referring website hostname. It stores the current-session source in session storage and first-touch/last-touch source information in local storage so the site can preserve whether a visit came from a social platform, search engine, AI referral, another website or direct navigation while the visitor moves between pages.
When the site's analytics measurement configuration is enabled, Lighter Day Living uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, page views, general traffic sources and clicks on Amazon or AliExpress affiliate links. Google Analytics may process browser, device, approximate-location, referral and interaction information and may use cookies or similar browser storage. Lighter Day Living does not intentionally send names, email addresses, Amazon account information or the content of search or AI queries in its analytics events.
The analytics information is used to understand which guides and traffic sources are useful, diagnose where visitors leave the site and measure whether readers continue to retailer pages. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy ↗. Live display-ad scripts are not currently enabled. This policy will be updated if advertising, additional email services or materially different analytics tools are activated.
Affiliate and external links
Some links on Lighter Day Living are affiliate links. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a third-party retailer or service, such as Amazon or AliExpress. Once you leave this site, that third party's own privacy, cookie and tracking practices apply. Lighter Day Living does not control those third-party practices.
How information is used
Information submitted directly to Lighter Day Living may be used to review reader feedback, measure interest in future newsletters, understand which topics readers find useful, respond when a response is appropriate, and protect forms from spam or abuse. Lighter Day Living does not sell form-submission information.
Retention and deletion
Form submissions should be retained only as long as reasonably useful for the purpose for which they were collected. The site owner can delete submissions from the hosting dashboard. If you previously submitted information and want it removed, use the Contact Lighter Day Living form, select “Privacy or data request” and provide enough non-sensitive detail to identify the submission.
Children's privacy
Lighter Day Living is written for adults managing homes and families. The site is not intended to collect personal information directly from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site's tools or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
